Descrption:
Washington D.C. – Bradley T. Platt, author of Deadstream, won an Honorable Mention Award for Great Lakes – Best Regional Fiction category. Platt, born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1971 and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1994, was formally recognized May 19, 2006 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts flanking with other victors of diverse categories. The purpose of the IPPY Awards is to help deserving books and their messages reach a wider audience and to get the attention they deserve.

Published November 2005, Deadstream, the first release of a trilogy, talks about a man’s struggle to get through life and how he deals with the muddled tension bubbling beneath the surface of a rural place he calls home. Set in the 1980’s, Deadstream conveys an intense picture about the profundity and boundaries of the human spirit.
