EarthDesk 3.0 Now Available for Windows ---------------------------------------
Xeric Design, Ltd. Is pleased to announce the immediate availability of EarthDesk 3.0, its real-time dynamic desktop map, for Windows 2000, XP Home and XP Professional.
Long popular on the Macintosh platform, EarthDesk replaces your static wallpaper with an image of the Earth showing current sun, moon and city illumination as well as real-time global cloud coverage. The software operates silently in the background, keeping your desktop updated while you work. Unlike a screen saver, which only appears when your system is idle, EarthDesk's dynamic desktop is continuously displayed as Windows wallpaper.
EarthDesk's rendered image quality needs to be seen to be appreciated. Using high resolution satellite base maps, multiple images are layered together to produce a stunning view of the Earth, even on the largest of monitors.
EarthDesk is the only application of its kind to support both Macintosh and Windows systems with accurate moonlight, multiple monitors, eleven different map projections, and political and satellite views.
EarthDesk requires Windows 2000, XP Home or XP Professional and QuickTime 6.5.2 or newer. Single user copies of EarthDesk may be purchased online for $19.95.
