USA - September 11, 2005 - Jackie Frost Films is proud to announce that The Los Angeles International Short Film Festival has selected Mark Bernier's new short film THE LAST TIME WE WERE... marking its WORLD PREMIERE at this, the largest short film festival in the world held at the famous ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California. The juried 8-day film fare from around the world reaches out to a variety of communities by providing a full range of independent short works including documentaries, comedies, dramas, cultural and experimental films as well as animated works. This Academy Accredited Festival, in past years, has produced 20 OSCAR nominees and 6 OSCAR winners. THE LAST TIME WE WERE... is a film about relationships, exploring the muted faces of love, avoidance and regret where we learn that the choices we avoid are the ones we regret not making. Starring Jennifer Fontaine and Mark Bernier and directed by Regi Davis this was a labor of love for Bernier who also penned this gripping story and produced in association with Jennifer Fontaine's company Scorpio Rising Films. THE LAST TIME WE WERE... Producer, Jennifer Fontaine said, "The intentional ambiguity of this piece always makes for an unpredictable audience reaction, that's what I love, everyone always has questions and no one's interpretation is ever wrong. Art is so subjective and that's what we've tried to do here, leave it open for the audience to explore."
