For the last 5 months The Drop Shop has been developing their new digital site, which should pack a big punch for artist and vendors. Starting this week artist can start selling their digital MP3's online at www.dropshop.com. Not only that, but the artist can sign up, upload, and keep track of sales all online without having to speak with anyone or send anything in.
"We are really excited to finally have our new site ready," said Alex Steiner, owner of The Drop Shop. "The music industry is notorious for being a little shady, especially in the electronic dance music scene. What we have done is really expanded artists reach to the people who want it. Not only that, but we have made it easy and honest for them too."
With all the momentum this would be a perfect reason for the party; however, this is not the only important reason for it. "The party really is all about our appreciation for customers & colleges and this is how we like to thank them for their continued support," said Alex. "Without them not only am I not in business, but the music would not be there either and that is what it is all about."
The Drop Shop is also announcing a brand **remodeled**new studio. A studio that is top-notch and will be servicing top artists from all over the world. Along with the studio comes more gear. This means rentals will soon to be available for DJ's and artist that are in need. "We will have just about everything from vinyl and/or cd turntables to amplifiers & speakers," Alex said. "We really try to be a place that all DJ's and artist can go for all their needs. Not only do we have the largest selection of vinyl dance music, but we offer studio recording services, DJ gear rentals, voiceovers, and pretty much anything else they need." Alex also said they and can/will provide help with pressing & distribution too.
In addition to all the services and musical goodies offered at The Drop Shop they also have some great perks for the customers that frequent the Orlando dance music haven. Anyone who spends $100 or more on vinyl gets a free 2 hour studio session to record their new tracks to CD in a professional sound proof studio (home of Drop Radio). A fifty dollar value. Not only that, but anyone in their studio can also broadcast their performance on Drop Radio, an Internet radio station heard worldwide on Shoutcast.
The celebration of all this is the party that will be held. Many sponsors such as Red Bull, Stanton, Ale House, Tijuana Flats, Quenchware, Vintage and lots of other local businesses and industry peeps have already jumped onboard to help with the festivities.
