This event will be a forum for leaders of industry & academia in India and Silicon Valley to meet, share ideas and explore business opportunities through the Stanford Annual Conference and Alumni Social. Stanford ATI India Global Entrepreneurship Conference 2005 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 27th August 2005 at Hotel Taj, Apollo Bunder, Mumbai.

Commenting on the event, Samvit Prabhat Kanoria, ED, Stanford ATI said, “India Global Entrepreneurship Conference is a unique event that will analyze the key components of Silicon Valley entrepreneurship and offer valuable insights to the participating Indian companies, organizations, entrepreneurs and academia. The Conference will cover the following areas - Venture Capitalists and Entrepreneurs: Insights, Advice, and Parallels :: Understand the local ingredients required for implementing the Silicon Valley business model of venture capital funding in India, and Lessons from Practitioners :: Industry stalwarts share experiences of their companies and explain the successes / failures of specific processes that they have implemented in their companies.

In an interactive session various ATI fellows in India will also share their experiences of Indian industry and business environment.

ATI is a group of highly motivated students and faculty members from Stanford University who are interested in business issues in Asia. The aim of the organization is to cultivate entrepreneurship through hands-on entrepreneurial experiences and by promoting link ups between the valley and technology clusters throughout Asia.

As a part of this program, every June, ATI sends a select few highly qualified and passionate Stanford students to India (Mumbai and Bangalore), China (Shanghai) and Singapore for 10 weeks to explore the powerful synergy between technology, industry and entrepreneurship in the Asian context.
