Bahrain yesterday reiterated its support for Moroccan territorial integrity and sovereignty. The stance came as His Majesty King Hamad held talks with King Mohammed VI of Morocco..
His Majesty the King also backed UN-sponsored international efforts aimed at reaching a final, political and conciliatory settlement for the Moroccan Sahara (Western Sahara) issue.
He highlighted the initiative to establish self-rule in the Sahara within the framework of the Moroccan territorial national sovereignty.

This approach may secure a final settlement for the Moroccan Sahara issue, thus paving the way for stability and development in the whole Maghreb region, the King said.
The two leaders also strongly condemned all forms of terrorism, calling on the international community to join efforts to combat and eradicated terror.

They also urged dialogue between civilisations, cultures and religions.
While voicing their deep concerns over the current difficult conditions prevailing in the Arab and Islamic arenas, the two leaders urged stronger solidarity to overcome disputes, challenges and preserve vital interests and national issues.

His Majesty later performed Eid Al Adha prayers with King Mohammed and the Amir of Kuwait, Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, at Al Faris Mosque, Rabat.
He also exchanged Eid greeting with the leaders and wished Morocco, the Arab and Islamic worlds progress and prosperity.

The King then left Morocco and was seen off by Prime Minister Idris Jettou and Bahrain's Ambassador Shaikh Khalid bin Salman Al Khalifa.
