PeopleForce is working with students enrolled in Lehigh’s Computer Science and Business (CSB) Program, which is affiliated with the university’s Integrated Product Development program, an award winning experiential learning venture that pairs students with businesses to develop technology-driven innovation. PeopleForce is an affiliate of Pennsylvania’s Ben Franklin Technology Partners. Wayne Barz, manager of entrepreneurial services at Ben Franklin, expressed excitement over the relationship. “Ben Franklin loves to see companies interact with universities like Lehigh,” Barz said. “And the prospects of what a company like PeopleForce can do with such a well-renowned program as IPD will be exciting to see.” PeopleForce is working with ten CSB students in three independent teams in a yearlong relationship focusing on several key projects. Students will primarily evaluate and improve the company’s patented process of designing work and deploying it to a distributed workforce. As part of that effort, teams will develop benchmark reports and online dashboards that allow customers to instantly evaluate how outsourcing projects are performing. Students will also evaluate advanced Internet based technologies for integrating PeopleForce's approach into customer systems.
