A new online dating service has been launched to provide UK singles with a completely free alternative to subscription based dating sites. Free UK Dating (www.free-uk-dating.co.uk) is supported by advertising, and offers its entire range of services completely free of charge.
Users are often frustrated by dating sites which offer free accounts, but force them to pay a subscription fee in order to use basic features such as sending or receiving messages, viewing unlimited profiles, or adding additional photographs to their own profiles. Because Free UK Dating draws its revenues from advertising, the site does not charge users for any of the features – users can sign up for a free account and instantly start using all of the site’s features to meet new people.
The site has been launched by Brighton based entrepreneur Jason Carter: “I know a few people who have used the various big name dating sites, including myself, and the general impression we got is that these large operators are only interested in squeezing more money out of their users in any way they can. I launched this site because I think there’s a better way for online dating services to be run. The revenue comes from advertisers and sponsorship, so the end user doesn’t have to pay a penny, and I think the result of this is that they’ll get a better experience from Free UK Dating than they would from the subscription based services.”
Launched officially this week, Free UK Dating is available to anybody over the age of eighteen, and covers all of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) as well as Northern Ireland. |
