KITES FESTIVAL
The Tabanan Regency will organize an International Kites Festival in Tanah Lot from 11 - 13 August 2006. The theme of this festival will be "FLYING FOR PEACE"
According to Mr Sujana the Chairman, from the 36 Countries that have been invited, 15 Countries have already agreed to participate. They are : Taiwan (17 Participants), Singapore (6), Thailand (4), China (3), India (3), Korea (2), Malaysia (2), Japan (2), British (1), Sweden (1), Phillipines (1), USA (1), Germany (1), Australia (1).
Among those who will be present are : Mr. Ludovic, President of World Kite Combat, France, Mr.Oland Ongkongko, President of the Kite Association of the Philippines as well as Presidents of kites associatin of other countris.
Local participants will be limited to 220, including the Big Ten Winners of previous kites festivals in Bali.
This festival will determine the venue of the next international kite festival to be held in the year 2008. Should this festival prove to be successful, it will be held in Bali again.
