A while back I helped one of my associates with his online business. He told me that he was stuck in a rut and wanted to know how to get going. This came from a person who has a successful life insurance business, but he was so tired of the rat race and always needing to start all over again every single month, always getting new clients, always motivating his reps, never having any extra time for his wife and kids, you know the drill if you're still doing the conventional type of business where you must give up your time and your life to do your job, to have a nice living for your dear family, etc. etc.
He saw that I was doing a killing in my online business, so finally he swallowed his pride and asked this upstart 20 year old kid how was I doing so well and how I could afford the lifestyle he always dreamed about? What was my secret?
I happen to be a friend of his son, about my age, so I was happy to oblige and gave him a few pointers.
That was about six weeks ago, I saw him at our favorite coffee shop a couple of days ago and he was smiling... "This is the first time I made $3000 in one day!" he told me, "in all of my years in the insurance business I've always had to work so hard to earn that much in a week, this was the easiest money, and I did not have to chase no one for it!"
He's seriously considering a career change, at almost 52 years. I told him that he shouldcontinue to build his online business for a while, get better at it and then make up his mind. I really think that he will make more money doing that than with his old conventional business. The beauty of it all, is that online marketing doesn't have to be a mystery, because it is so simple that even a 20 year old can do it and be so very successful at it. Even his son want to start his own business, as well! I love helping people be successful, I guess it's my calling...
