Descrption: 10 August, Moscow ------ The Independent Software Developers Forum (ISDEF) begins registration for its next annual conference, ISDEF 2006. This year the conference will take place October 5-8.
ISDEF, founded in 2002, has already successfully held four fall conferences and two one-day spring conferences. The forthcoming ISDEF 2006 is an anniversary conference, being the fifth of its kind.
ISDEF conferences become one of the high-profile international events. The previous ISDEF 2005 conference, which took place in the Vinogradovo Holiday Inn, attracted over 500 participants, including small independent software developers as well as such international giants of the IT-sector as Digital River, Google and Microsoft.
Felix Moochnik, Chairman of the Board of ISDEF remarks: "In its five-year history ISDEF has seen more than a few examples of companies that successfully transformed from being a group of private software developers to a brand well-known not only in Russia but also in the West. ISDEF's role in this is obvious: ISDEF creates a unique environment and forum where participants in the IT-market meet and share their experience, where business partnerships are forged, new projects are born, and important issues discussed."
Traditionally the ISDEF conference has taken place just outside Moscow. However, the focus of the forum has evolved over time. In its early days the conferences were revolving around technical aspects of software development. Today, however, ISDEF's participants are more interested in financial, legal and marketing issues relating to marketing and selling software and business evolution. Recognizing the current business focus of the conference, as well as its ever-growing popularity, it was decided to host this year's conference in the heart of the Moscow city in the recently-opened Holiday Inn Moscow Sokolniki, rather than on Moscow's outskirts. |
