A New Way To Save Katrina Victims From FEMA Failures

Marketing strategist and copywriter Andre Bell of Andre Bell Consulting Group (www.AndreBell.com) has started a new online service to provide help exclusively for people affected by Hurricane Katrina that FEMA has let fall through the cracks.

“Families are faced with being kicked out of the motels they've been staying in and out into the streets with nothing because their FEMA benefits have ended,” said Andre. “After reading the stories and watching the news it hit me that something needed to be done. So I decided to create the largest private database of free services available exclusively to Katrina victims. Any Katrina victim will be able to access the database from wherever they’ve migrated to—provided they can get to a computer with internet access.”

FEMA and Federal support have been critical at providing for these people. This service is NOT designed to replace government assistance. It is designed to help the individuals or families who’ve fallen through the cracks of government support.

“If even one man, woman, or child has to sleep on the street again tonight or is forced to go another day without a meal or a shower because of expired benefits, that's too many,” Andre said. “I'm challenging every business in the country to register to give some kind of support (not send donation money) to verifiable victims of Hurricane Katrina in their area.”

The nine major areas of assistance are:

• Meals
• Clothing
• Childcare
• Rooming or bathing facilities
• Medical, Dental, Mental Health Services
• Personal Care (barber, beautician, etc.)
• Experienced and entry-level jobs available now
• Job Search Assistance
• Legitimate services to help victims start, market, finance, recover, or run a business
