Dr. Alec Defrawy, renowned proctologist, 2006 Congressional candidate, and Chairman/CEO of Defraudi, Inc., has used so many fictitious names in the course of his long career that he finally lost track. Angered by an internet posting, Defrawy directed his legal team (Catchem Nappin & Pounce, P. A., of Orlando) to locate the source of the message and take appropriate action. But then, when the subpoena arrived, Defrawy found he was dragging himself into court. “I had to think fast,” says Dr. Defrawy. “I knew I really shouldn’t testify against myself, but I still had to fight that competitive urge to win - even if I lost. You know?” Sane people would see that as nonsense - but in the world of Alec Defrawy, very little is real. Cooler heads prevailed, and the lawsuit was withdrawn.
