Pulheim, 4 March 2005. The Mannheim-based Aareal Hypotheken-Management GmbH, a provider of qualified sourcing concepts for the banking and insurance business, extends its services by means of COSA. During the past year, Aareal received twice as much orders as the year before. In addition, customers expectations regarding qualified service are steadily increasing. To respond to these requirements, Aareal extends its existing COSA-based credit platform to 300 users.

Among the services of Aareal Hypotheken-Management are credit processing and administrative tasks in the area of construction financing. With these services, Aareal Hypotheken-Management mainly addresses banks and insurance companies. Currently, the company conducts some 205,000 credits with a total amount of € 13.5 billions. Being a financial processing factory, Aareal takes on the processing and administration of the complete customer portfolios ranging from credit application by means of scalable scoring procedures to the management of loan accounts.

These services are based on a process-oriented and modular IT architecture. In this respect, COSA is used as central control module of the credit factory. Taking industrial processes as example, COSA steers and controls the credit factory's business processes and leads the responsible employees through the entire credit process. This process includes all steps required in the credit and loan business, for example keeping electronic customer files, application processing, loan outpayments, object exchange, loan repayment or analyzing the credit-worthiness.

Currently, more than 60 business processes with different levels of detail are represented in COSA guaranteeing a rapid processing of the significant amount of orders at a high quality level. In addition to high process security, cycle time could be reduced by up to 80 %.
